Cybersecurity & Web3
Secure infrastructure, digital trust and resilient decentralized systems.
ABOUT CITADEL LAB / EST. 2006
CITADEL LAB brings researchers, industry and institutions together around work that matters—across cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

01 / OUR FOUNDATION
The organization’s documented journey begins in 2006 at the HONET annual conference at UNC Charlotte—an academic–industry setting where ambitious ideas met practical needs.
That connection remains central to CITADEL LAB’s approach: bring different disciplines into the same conversation, test ideas against real challenges, and carry strong research toward useful outcomes.
Start with the question, the evidence and the people best equipped to investigate it.
Connect academic expertise with industry experience and institutional context.
Move beyond theory toward secure, resilient systems with practical value.
02 / OUR JOURNEY
Selected milestones trace a path from an academic–industry beginning to national-scale cyber strategy.
2006 2026The CITADEL LAB journey began at the HONET annual conference at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, connecting research with industry practice.
Development of a Serving Mobile Location Centre (SMLC) solution marked an early applied research milestone.
Security operations centre work extended from architecture and design through operational delivery and capacity building.
Consulting work on STC’s Cyber Defense Center brought a continuing focus on maturing operational cyber capability.
Security architecture and design for a hardware wallet explored trusted digital asset and secure-messaging systems.
Technical architecture and operational support contributed to national computer emergency response capabilities.
An AI-enabled Master SOC concept advanced the long-term direction for national-scale cyber defense.
03 / CONNECTED FRONTIERS
These areas are not separate silos. Their overlap creates new questions—and new opportunities to solve them together.
Secure infrastructure, digital trust and resilient decentralized systems.
Responsible, human-centred approaches to intelligence and defense.
Preparing algorithms and security models for a new computing era.
