Different formats.
A common ambition.

Some questions call for longer research support. Others are best addressed through a defined technical challenge or a partnership between teams. The right format depends on the work—and the details must be clear before anyone is asked to participate.

Research grants

A pathway for ambitious research questions that need the right expertise and resources to move forward.

The programme concept includes industry-sponsored requests for proposals and milestone-based micro-grants for university scholars. Future calls would describe the research scope, eligibility, funding terms and milestones before applications open.

PROGRAMME FORMATS
  • Industry-sponsored RFPsProposed sponsor-defined research problems, released with an approved brief.
  • Research micro-grantsProposed milestone-based support for university scholars.

Industrial bounties

Defined technical problems can invite precise contributions from a wider specialist community.

The proposed bounty board covers practical work such as code audits, vulnerability findings and algorithm implementations. Individual challenge briefs, review criteria and reward terms would be published only when a bounty is formally announced.

Collaborations

Research gains reach when institutions, industry teams and specialists can work on a shared question.

CITADEL LAB’s direction includes cross-institutional working groups and industry-sponsored research initiatives. A collaboration begins with a conversation about the research problem and the partners best placed to investigate it.

What comes later.

The broader platform concept includes RFP submissions, a bounty board and a grant tracker for proposals, milestones and payouts. Those tools are not part of this public frontend and are not presented here as operational services.

When a programme opens, this page can publish its confirmed brief, eligibility, timeline and participation route.
